Children’s Problems

Linda is a good teacher – she knows all peculiarities of young kids, at least, she says these words. Each child is growing up in a particular family with a definite way of life. When he joins a nursery group, he feels himself in different surrounding and he seems to be unwanted. That is why my sister insists that each child should have some belongings which are entirely his. That is very important for kids because they have their own special picture or symbol on each of these possessions – for example, a kit of toys, some boxes or a doll – all bear an individual mark. Very often their requests are easy to carry out. Respect for the property of other must be founded on appreciation of one’s own belongings.

As for food, it is another important consideration in a new place – food for mind and body. Mealtimes in the nursery school or daycare are pleasant functions. The food is well cooked and daintily served. Linda is wondering how soon children begin to relish unaccustomed food. She tries to help overcome a child’s distaste for the unfamiliar and teach them to appreciate a dish they have not seen before. Again some familiar kits of toys will be helpful.

The next problem is security – it is the greatest need for the small child. He has lots of requests and questions – it is normal, for sure. For him, life is full of whimsical and unusual things and the teacher’s task is to explain any new moments he gets acquainted on his way of staying in the nursery school or daycare.
